help. give me your wisdom.

so during bible study this week, we talked a lot about righteousness. then it occurred to me...i have no idea what that is. i've always thought that if you're righteous, then you are obviously very generous and humble. but now i don't know what to think. i've been trying to study it in my bible since then, and i have a few ideas or so, but i really want you guys to help me out and tell me what you think. so, have at it.

hey sarah, read romans 1:16-19. i've been kinda studying it this last week, and it talks at least a little bit about righteousness. actually its about Gods wrath on the UN-righteousness. but its some good stuff to think about because if you know what unrighteousness looks like, that will help find out what righteousness looks like. good luck with your study, and let us know what you learn :)

After reading your blog and talking about it with Ryan a thought came to mind and that is we are not righteous, and in and of ourselves there is no way that we can be righteous.
Without Christ we are worthless and depraved. It is only because of God's grace and mercy that we even have breath.
God's desire is that we would seek him with all of our hearts and live our lives for his glory. In doing this we will get a glimps of God's own righteousness and thus know how to shadow our lives after that very thing.
I hope that through the reading of God's word we will all understand what righteousness is and how we may obtain it.
Keep running the race and don't get discouraged! We are all on this Journey togther!
